Distributors can't use it if they can't find it. Make it easy to find. 

 

Make content easy to find for distributors

No one wants to feel that finding the right content is like a wild goose chase.

Or like trying to find a needle in a haystack. 

And this is especially true for distributors. 

Manufacturers need to understand that if product and sales information is hard to find, distributors will quickly abandon the search. Both sales and the under-served customer suffer. 

 

The portal shouldn't look like "Hoarders"

Many portals and extranets are like the digital equivalent of junk drawers - an incoherent mishmash of files that are hard to sort through. 

Add in no ability to easily filter or search and the problem gets even worse. 

At minimum, a modern portal should have these essential features to make it easy to find information:
